"Words fail to convey the total value of yoga. It has to be experienced." – B.K.S. Lyengar

I have been involved in fitness and sports from childhood and have always enjoyed the many varied opportunities to make a positive difference in my health, the challenge to continue learning, and the positive benefits of community and team building. I first turned to yoga as a complimentary practice to years of tennis and gym classes and for stress management. I endured a chronic neuro-muscular neck and shoulder injury in 2016 and have been very encouraged and very thankful for the ability to continue to strengthen my yoga practice and to receive the physical and mental benefits of a daily practice including strength building, flexibility, maintaining a functional range of motion, and pain management. I have been practicing yoga for 11 years and completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training in April 2019 through Yoga Alliance. I am trained in Hatha yoga with an integral yoga lineage. I enjoy teaching well rounded yoga practices focusing on postures(asanas), breath work (pranayama) and meditation. Students seem to especially enjoy the guided deep relaxation that I include at the end of each practice. Yoga allows us time to just ‘be’ and process how our bodies feel and to be compassionate towards ourselves and others. It’s encouraging to have students share the positive mental and physical benefits they are receiving from attending classes weekly. A consistent yoga practice allows us to experience an enhanced quality of life, to remain functional at all phases of life, and can build positive relationships and community. Come join us as we lengthen, strengthen, breathe and learn together on our mats!
